Honor 9 and Honor 8 Pro are getting their operating systems upgraded to Android Oreo
Hooray? Honor has just updated its Honor 9 and Honor 8 Pro smartphones with an Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The update is, for now, only available in the UK, and there is yet no word on other regions where it will be available; UK is probably a ”testing ground” of sorts. As for the update’s content, you all know the Oreo drill by now – EMUI 8.0 interface, Android Instant Apps, picture-in-picture mode et cetera. This one lacks the EMUI Desktop feature, though. There is no word on when, if ever, will Honor 8 get the update. Guess we will have to wait and ...
Google completed its HTC takeover. What now?
To be precize, Google took over the complete mobile division of HTC. Their job in Google is now to design Google’s new Made By Google series devices. Ex-HTC team reportedly consists of high class specialists, experienced people who worked on devices such as HTC Touch and HTC One and not, as some people theorized, washed-up devs that HTC just wanted to get rid of.That is great, but what with the remaining HTC? Well… we do not know. There are few theories online, for example some people believe that HTC will now concentrate on developing mobile software, but nobody knows anything ...
Samsung trademarks ”Uhssup”. Own message app?
As it turns out, Samsung has just filed a trademark application with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. What they trademarked was the brand name ”Uhssup”. According to the trademark application, mysterious ”Uhssup” is supposed to be a mobile app for chatting and sharing locations. This sounds more or less like every other chat app out there, so there is a question of whether Samsung just wants a slice of that generic chat app pie or is there more to ”Uhssup” than meets the eye. ...
iOS 12 will have some of its features delayed. Reason? iOS 11 needs a lot of fixing
Today’s news come from both Axios and Bloomberg. According to these two sources, Apple executives have made a decision to delay some of the upcoming iOS 12’s features due to how much time and effort it takes to fix all the issues presented by iOS 11. Features delayed include algorithmically enhanced photo management app, redesigned home screen and, possibly, also in-car user interface. iPhone fans can still look forward to features such as advanced augmented reality and enhanced health data ...

The company has just announced a bunch of new colours for two of its smartphones: Q6 is to get the Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet variants, while G6 will get both these as variants as well as Raspberry Rose. These will add to the already considerable colour rooster for these two devices, Ice Platinum, Astro Black, Mystic White, Terra Gold and Marine Blue. All the new colours will become available for G6 and ...
