Huawei is allegedly working on its own operating system

As you may or may not know, Huawei products are now banned in the United States. Huawei phones can be used, and last few phones are available for sale, but no new units are being shipped into the country. The reasons for the ban are not important in today’s news: it is probably part of a bad China-USA situation. What interests us is that that ban not only means that Huawei cannot sell its smartphones in the United States of A; it may also mean that, any day now, Google might be forced to pull the plug and stop its operating system Android from supporting Huawei products. Yep, that is ...

Huawei P20 Pro update is here

And it is a big one! Weighing 3.46 GB (wow), build number CLT-L29 8.1.0.107(C432)-FULL brings with it a large number of lesser optimalization and security fixes. The ”big” fix introduced is fixed issue with updating the online themes in the Themes section. Not very impressive for a three and a half gigabyte worth of download. ...

Ever wanted your smartphone to ask you how are you feeling? Good for you, because that is what Huawei is working on. Huawei P20 Pro and Lite will launch in India on April 24

It has been a while since any Huawei device reached India stores. The last one to be released there was Huawei P9 back in 2016. This is a long time for a company to not tap a market. Well, Huawei seems to be thinking the same – next week its P20 Pro and Lite models will become available for buy in the land of holy cattle, almost a month after its global release. Regular P20 will presumably not be launched alongside its brothers. Launch will probably take place during an event in New Dehli. For Huawei P20 Pro’s specification, check our older post. ...

Huawei is doing fine, or how it sold $15 mil worth of Huawei P20/P20 Plus in ten seconds

According to Huawei’s latest announcement, the company has made roughly fifteen million dollars in the first ten seconds after releasing its Huawei P20/P20+ smartphone lines in China. Impressive. The total number of units sold has not been confirmed, but it must be considerable. Sales of P20 Lite were not included – if they were, the amount made would definitely be much higher. Huawei’s future goal is to sell twenty million P20 and P20+ units altogether during the 2018. It seems that, despite the US ban on Huawei devices, the Chinese company is well on its way to become ...
