LG G7 ThinQ Android 9 Pie update is coming closer

A new message has just been posted on South Korean’s LG website. According to it, G7 ThinQ will receive its OS update in the, quote, ”first quarter of 2019”. People more in the know-how than I believe this rough estimate to be true, especially since the device’s beta has been available in South Korea since November. Restart loop affects LG G7

Restart loop is a pretty nasty glitch that causes the bugged device to be unable to properly start; instead it keeps on restarting over and over again until hard reset. This unfortunate glitch has reportedly began to plague a number of LG G7 smartphones. The reason for G7’s restart loop is currently unknown. LG has patented a 16-lens camera smartphone

In the past, smartphone makes tried to one-up each other by having larger displays. Then ther was a ”thinner frames” craze going on. Today it is seemingly all about the camera lenses. According to the document, this model would have its lenses put in the matrix, under different angles; that would allow it to take pictures from different perspectives. There would also be the ...

LG patents names for its future foldable smartphones

Rumour that LG is going to show off a foldable device of its own during the CES 2019 have been around for over a month now. Newest leak from the European Union Intellectual Property Office suggests that this may be true, as LG has just patented three names for its future devices: Foldi, Flex and Duplex. All three names suggest a foldable device. Category 9 class given to them means that they will be smartphones.Three patents do not neccessarily mean that we will get three new LG devices, mind you. Bah, we might not even get a single one, foldable or not. Perhaps LG just wants to call dibs ...

LG patents its idea for a borderless display smartphone with a hole in the screen

LG has just put its latest patent down in the Korean Intellectual Property Office KIPO, and it turns out to be quite an interesting document. According to it, LG is working on two smartphone projects; one of them is a standard smartphone brick, while the other one has its left side curved like a notebook. In both cases the screen, supposedly elastic, takes up almost 100% of space available. Both screens also have an oval sinus in the upper left corner of the display. These sinuses are, supposedly, able to be physically moved around the display. Some people believe that the sinus is oval ...
