LG Q8 (2018), mid-ranger with a few cool features

The (2018) in the name is an important addition, because there was a bit of a ruckus in the LG regarding the naming process. Last year, LG has released a smartphone under the name of LG isai Beat V34. Marketing specs have seemingly decided that such a name will not pass in Europe and it was decided to call european release of that phone Q8. With a ”real” Q8 coming out now, things got… complicated. With this out of the way, lets see what does the new, ”real” LG Q8 (2018) offer:– 6,2 inch display, 18:9, IPS panel, FHD+,– dimensions 160,1 x 77,7 x 8,4 ...

LG Q6 updated to Android 8.1

LG tries very hard to convince us that its 160 pounds budget phone is worth buying. The company’s latest trick to coerce us into getting one – or to wipe the tears of those who already have – is to update its operating system to 8.1. The update is already available in South Korea; it should reach European markets in a few months. 8.1 update brings a slew of changes with it, like new options for LED flash camera or the stereo DTS:X 3D sound. ...

Older LG flagships will receive Android update to Oreo

It is always nice when smartphone producers show us that they remember about their older phones and their users. LG plans on releasing an update for its V20 and G5 models that will up their operating systems to Android 8.0 Oreo. The catch is that the update is only being prepared for the South Korean versions of these two devices. Do not worry, though – it is rare for such large updates to be released in just one country. We can be pretty sure that other countries’ V20 and G5 will also have their operating systems put up to date.Sadly, we do not know when will take update take ...
