Apple received $6.6 million fine in Australia for bricking a number of devices

Apple has to pay nine million Australian dollars, or over six and a half million US bucks. The company lost a legal case to the consumer rights group. The case was related to how the company reacted after iOS updates bricked devices that had been repaired by third party service providers. Apple is bringing a new function to the iOS 12. For now it will only be available in the US. This new function will quickly and automatically deliver our location to the police every time we call 911. The heart of this function is HELO system (Hybridized Emergency Location) that Apple implemented three years ago.
