Samsung Wemogee, a communication app for those with language disorders

I like it when technology is developed to help people, and I like it even more when money-centered, soulless corporations like Samsung do the helping. Today I am glad that I can tell you about the latest invention of Samsung Electronics Italia – Samsung Wemogee. Wemogee is an emoticon-based chat app, designed to ease the burden of communication for people with language disorders like aphasia. How does Wemogee work? Developed in co-operation with a team of speech therapists, Wemogee has over 140 every day phrases (well done, I am hungry, I am sleepy, it is funny etc.) built into its ...

Samsung S9 appears on the (far) horizon, as Samsung and Qualcomm announce working on its processor

Never enough Samsung news! Samsung Forever! Not a day without Samsung! These are the thoughts that cross my mind as I read up on yet another Samsung news. This one is (relatively) big, though. Qualcomm and Snapdragon have officially announced that the two companies (smartphone and CPU developers) are starting to work on the Galaxy S9’s processor. Nothing else is known for sure. It is safe to say that the next CPU’s name will probably be Snapdragon 845, as the now-used CPU is Snapdragon 835. Either Samsung itself or Taiwan’s TSMC will be the ones to produce it. That is all ...

HTC U 11. So we finally know how it’s called!

Thank god, calling this phone by all of its four possible names was getting tiring. Evan Blass is the leakster who brought us this news, and lets all hope he is right, because I do not think the community can take yet another name for HTC’s upcoming flagship. Anyway, what else has Mr. Blass told us? HTC U 11 is supposed to be sold in five colour variants: black, white, silver, red and blue. Here is the phone’s specification, in case you weren’t sure whether or not to be excited about it:– Snapdragon 835 CPU,– 5.5′ QHD display,– 4GB RAM, 64GB memory ...

As learned by ETNews, LG X power2 will be hitting the store shelves in early June. In the beginning, X power2 will be a South Korea exclusive, but it is rumoured that, after a few months, the phone will become available globally as well (most certainly in North America, as it is already received an US certification). Its price will be something around $264. As for LG X power2’s specification, here it is:– 5.5 inches display, 1280 by 720p resolution,– Mediatek MT6750 SoC,– 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD slot,– 13mpx main and 5mpx rear camera,– ...

Sharp Aquos R debuts. Not bad, not bad at all

I rarely get to write about Sharp, so I’m glad that, when I get the chance to, I can write something nice. Aquos R has, for a relatively not well known company, really great specification. Here, take a look yourself:– 5.3′ IGZO display, WQHD HDR,– Snapdragon 835 CPU: Adreno 540 GPU,– 4GB RAM, 64GB inner memory,– Bluetooth 5.0,– 22.6mpx main camera, optical image stabilization, f/1.9 aperture; 16mpx front camera,– 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type C,– 3160mAh battery, QuickCharge 3.0,– fingerprint scanner,– IP68 certificate.Nice, ...

Huawei Nova Smart gets released in Europe. Super…

Yaaaay, wooohooo, new Huawei phone, awesome, it’s been so long… Nova Smart is a mid-ranger device (haven’t seen a new Huawei mid-ranger in, what, a week?) with such specification:– 5′ display, HD,– Snapdragon 435, 4-core, 1.4GHz,– 2GB RAM, 16GB storage memory, memory card slot up to 128GB,– 13mpx main camera,– rear-placed fingerprint sensor,– 3020mAh battery,– Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.Nova Smart’s price is 200 euro, though carriers like Orange will sell it for less. Overall, Huawei Nova Smart is just a renamed Honor6C ...

Yet another leaked Moto X (2017) pictures

Little is known about this device, even though a number of pictures depicting it has been released lately. Now, Slashleaks has revealed another bunch of Moto X (2017) photos, and they still do not tell us much about the phone. Design? Similiar to Moto G5 Plus. Audio jack? Yes, 3.5mm. Port? MicroUSB instead of the more usual USB Type-C. Rumours are that the new Moto X will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory, as well as a Snapdragon 625 CPU. That’s all. Tweet Vote on ...

Benchmark tests indicate that the US Galaxy S8 is worse than the global model

I have just read a pretty long, for its topic, article in which the writer complains about how the North American Galaxy S8 is worse than it’s global counterpart. Long story short, yes, it is slightly worse. GSM Arena performed a multitude of benchmark tests on both devices, and in almost all of them the global version of the phone was faster than its US counterpart. Why? Probably because of the difference in CPU’s. American Samsung Galaxy S8 is packing Snapdragon 835, while global edition of the phone comes with slightly faster Exynos 8895. That is ...

iPhone burns a man alive!!1!

Have I got your attention? Clarification – the guy was alive when his iPhone gave him a burn, and he is still alive. No one has died. Okay? Okay. Luke Schillab, USA, was unlucky enough to jump into the swimming pool with his iPhone 6 in pocket. The phone, of course, died. When Schillab realised what happened, he tried an old home remedy of putting the wet phone into the bag of rice, counting on the rice to absorb the water. When a few hours passed and the phone was still not responding, Schillab gave up. He put the phone on the bed (as later stated, he did it by a force of habit) and ...
