Storage Mod is one of many Moto Mods designed by the fans of the device. It is hardly the most interesting of the modifications, too, but certainly one of the most useful ones. It doesn’t give us a super camera, bar code scanner or video projector. What it does give us is:– HDMI port,– USB port type A and C,– 3.5mm headphone jack,– irDA transmitter,– 2800mAh battery. What do you guys think? Nokia 3310 (2017) turns out to be very popular in the UK
Carphone Warehouse, one of Great Britain’s leading mobile retailers, the demand for the newly revamped Nokia 3310 is much higher than anyone expected, at least in the Old Country. The company’s statement is based on a, reportedly, very high number of people pre-registering for the device. The reason for such may be twofold: first, the nostalgia, as old Nokia phones were immensely popular in their days; second, the price, as, while nowhere near being competitive spec-wise to even the worst of modern smartphones, Nokia 3310 (2017) costs mere 49 pounds.Personally I won’t be ...
”This smartphone will self-destruct in three, two, one…”
A group of scientists from King Abdullah University of Science & Technology is working on a technology that allows for a remote or self-destruction of a smartphone. Their aim is to construct a special polymer that would be put inside the device. This polymer could then be triggered, by various means, to produce a large amount of heat. Heat would cause it to bloat, eventually causing the bulging mass to break the nearby phone chip. Scientists plan to create a number of triggers that could make the phone autodestruct. Among their ideas are; remote control, light detection (e.g., phone ...
Oh dear, oh my, oh no… Samsung Galaxy S7 caught fire…
It seems that Galaxy S7 is an unlucky phone model for women. It has only been a few days since we heard about one exploding in a woman’s car, and now I can report to you another one catching fire as its owner slept in bed. Incident took place in a North China Conservancy and Hydropower University’s campus. According to the girl’s testimony, her Galaxy S7 caught fire around 6 am, out of blue as it was not connected to a power source (and even if it were, such an incident would be unforgivable). The device was quickly put out, though this did not save the poor bed linens ...
Average US citizen spends 5 hours per day on their phone
According to analytics firm Flurry, U.S. smartphone users are spending average of five hours per day on their mobile devices, a whooping 20% more than they used to do by the beginning of 2016. Apps are what sees the biggest increase in use, with mobile browsers and even mobile games both seeing decline in use over the last few years. Research states that using apps is Americans’ favourite past time in the living room, beating the old veteran of potato couching, television – even if many of those apps are TV-esque devices in kind of Netflix or Amazon Video.I never felt bad about ...
Smart condoms, or o tempora o mores!
Every aspect of our lives (at least those of people living in the First World) is getting ”technologized”, so why not up our sex life to 2.0 as well. Apple’s i.Con Smart Condom is Apple’s answer to your need to have your apparatus wrapped in/rubbed by cybernetics. The device will monitor details of your sex life, such as duration of intercourse, number of thrusts made or calories burn, and relay this info to a special smartphone app. The device itself is not actually a condom, though, but a ring to be placed over an actual prophylactic. Good thing, too, ’cause ...
