According to analytics firm Flurry, U.S. smartphone users are spending average of five hours per day on their mobile devices, a whooping 20% more than they used to do by the beginning of 2016. Apps are what sees the biggest increase in use, with mobile browsers and even mobile games both seeing decline in use over the last few years. Research states that using apps is Americans’ favourite past time in the living room, beating the old veteran of potato couching, television – even if many of those apps are TV-esque devices in kind of Netflix or Amazon Video.
