Alibaba Pandora Lab successfully jailbreaked iOS 11.2.1

Apple phones are recognized as probably the most difficult smartphones to find vulnerabilities in. Therefore it is all the bigger news when someone manages to make a dent in their proverbial armour. Alibaba Pandora Lab is one such group of people. The group claims that they have achieved an untethered jailbreak of iOS 11.2.1 on an iPhone X device. The proof of the group’s boast is a picture with an iPhone X with two Apple-unsanctioned apps, Pandora and Cydia, installed.Pandora Lab will not release their jailbreak tool. The group just wanted to proove that jailbreak is ...

Ever since its release in October, the game’s popularity has grown from a few thousand players online and prizes the size of $100 to roughly 400 thousand players per game, with prizes reaching ten thousand bucks. HQ’s growing popularity means that the game is facing some technical issues, ranging from a simple lag to question not ...

Study claims that Galaxy phone users on Twitter are happier than iPhone users

Research has been conducted by the firm LikeFolio. The firm compared the number of positives said about Galaxy smartphones to the number of those said about iPhone smartphones, and the positive sentiment towards Samsung’s products seem to be prevalent. It dropped, naturally, after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, but then it quickly bounced back up, currently nearly reaching the pre-Note 7 levels. The ”happiness” level of iPhone users is overall lower than that of Galaxy users, but it has stayed on more or less the same level over the years. iPhone X may change this when it ...

Over half of Apple devices is now working on iOS 11

Apple’s statistics show that 59% of its devices now operate under the newest version of the iOS. Much less, 33%, still work on iOS 10; 8% – the ones whose owners are living under really large and mossy boulders – is operated by iOS 9 or older. In Android devices, OS used is pretty optional. There are still lots of people who are using Android 6.0 or even older. When it comes to iOS, though, updating your system is much less of a personal choice and more of a ”Do or GTFO” type of thing. More people would upgrade to iOS 11 already were it not for the plethora of ...

iPhone X is much more popular than iPhone 8. Duh

iPhone X is not only more sought after and bought more often than iPhone 8, but it is unlocked more often as well. According to Sim-unlock’s statistics, there is at the very least a 5th more iPhone X’s on the market than there are iPhone 8’s. In other words, for every hundred iPhone 8 smartphones that are unlocked by Sim-unlock, there are 125 iPhone X devices that get the same treatment. It is not hard to see why, too; it is more expensive, granted, but iPhone X offers a much bigger technological advancement than iPhone 8, which is dubbed ”an iPhone 7, only a bit ...

Apple fixes iPhone X’s freezing display issue

Wow, a news about Apple actually doing something right. That is a rare sight on IMEI24 lately. Anyway, back to the news. Apple has recently released the newest iOS update, iOS 11.1.2. Among a number of fixes that the update offers, perhaps the most important one is this:”Fixes an issue where the iPhone X screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop.”Well that is nice, is it not. I do not personally know anyone who owns an iPhone X so I cannot testify to the fixes’ efficiency, but hopefully it works as intended. Oh, and remember to ...

Yep, another iPhone X issue! This time it is the ”crackling” audio problem

One thing iPhone X does not lack are various problems it has. It is fragile; its OLED screen breakes in cold; it suffers burn-ins. Well, I suppose it is now high time for some audio issues, is it not? It seems like a growing number of iPhone X owners take it to the Internet to complain about Apple’s newest flagship’s audio. What is the problem? When listening to music or other audio – even phone calls – from the phone’s front speaker and at 70% to 100% volume, iPhone X owners are presented with an annoying, unnatural ”crackling” sound. It is said to ...
