Vivo V15 Pro will have its premiere next week; now it turns out that a mysterious U1 smartphone will be released before it, and as early as tomorrow too. What do we know about it? Not a lot. Judging by the teaser render, U1 will have a tear-shaped notch. People wiser than me believe that Vivo will release three variants of the device, with different prices and specs, but that is only a supposition. Tweet Vote on HN ...

LG says they have no plans of making a foldable device
Foldable devices are all the rage these days, but not everyone wants to get on that particular hype train. It seems that LG now plays the role of that one kid that hangs out along in the background because they are too cool for whatever fun activity is currently going on; at least that is (minus the exaggeration) what Brian Kwon, head of mobile communications and home entertainment divisions of LG, have said. According to Kwon, the company considered working on its own foldable phone but decided to wait and see how the users respond to the new technology first. Kwon says that LG will ...
Manchester Airport first in UK to support 5G internet
Vodafone, one of UK’s telecommunications conglomerates, has just connected the Manchester Airport to the 5G web. Visitors can use the 5G connectivity via the so-called ”blast pods”. This is supposedly a trial for a wider launch sometime next year. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Times, they are a changing, or how Microsoft is telling us to NOT use Internet Explorer
It has barely been four years since Microsoft would tell us to absolutely use Internet Explorer and now… well, now times have changed. For the last four years Microsoft have not supported IE, which means that this particular internet browser is piss easy to break in. It is possible that Microsoft will soon be saying the same thing about Edge, its second browser, since it is currently wrapping up its work on a new, third one; this one, based on the Chromium engine, will be released for open tests sometime in the upcoming ...
ListenYo, or how to listen to YouTube content without punishing your Internet connection
Have you ever been in a situation where your boss came to you at work and told you to stop watching YouTube as it strains the office’s web connection? I have and let me tell you, it was not pleasant. Other than giving me a mild case of guilt as well as showing how poor our Internet connection is, it also made me think: okay, so how can I listen to YouTube’s content? You see, I have never actually ”watched” stuff on YT at work – I listened to it. Sometimes to music, sometimes to movie or video game bits, sometimes to YT shows or audiobooks. Still, along with ...
Nokia 6.2 (2019) gets a new certification
This one comes from Bluetooth. It is rather thin on information: it says that the device, called HMD Global TA-1140, will receive Bluetooth 5.0. That is all. Energizer Power Max P18K Pop, a pretty good smartphone with awesome battery
Are you tired of constantly having to charge your phone? Would you prefer a phone that you can just leave for a few days without having to look for that pesky charger? I know that I do, and if I weren’t saving up cash I would probably look to buy Energizer’s new Power Max P18K Pop, a smartphone with a massive 18000mAh battery. This reportedly gives it four days of life before the phone has to be recharged. Afraid that the recharge will take hours? Do not be – 18 W Quick Charge makes sure that it will not be an overly long process. The only concern remaining is weight ...

Chaos & Conquest, new Warhammer mobile game is coming out later this year
Something possibly nice is coming for mobile-gaming Warhammer fans out there. Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest is a strategy game set in the world of seemingly Age of Sigmar (it does not look like 40k, no matter what other websites say), the fantasy-themed setting of WH franchise. C&C puts you in the shoes of a Chaos Lord, champion of the evil Chaos Gods, whose goal is to expand his (or her, I suppose) kingdom and conquer all that there is. Game’s trailer is available, but it fails to explain much about the game other than it will be a strategy with base building elements, ...
Official renders of Xiaomi Mi 9 rear
It is tad weird that the device’s front has not been shown but oh well, lets take what they give; and what they give are the first official renders of the Mi 9 smartphone. What do they show us? – triple main camera (rumour is that it is a 48mpx + 12mpx + ???, with ToF),– a pretty pleasant, blue colour variant,– no rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which means that there is probably one in the phone’s display.Other gossip surrounding this device speak of tear-shaped notch and specs such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 CPU, 3500mAh battery, 6GB RAM & 128GB memory ...
