This device will probably hit the stores under the iQQQ logo, a new brand made specifically for Vivo’s premium devices. This makes sense, as it is doubtful that one of the first foldables on the market will be cheap. First renders depicting this device have just been revealed by the Chinese website Weibo. They show us a smartphone that folds in the middle of the screen; very much unlike the Xiaomi project, but similiar to the Galaxy F. Specs-wise, nothing is known about Vivo; we will have to wait until 25-28th MWC to learn ...

The display of LG G8 ThinQ will also be its loudspeaker
LG will show off its newest flagship, G8 ThinQ, on this year’s MWC 2019, but even before that we will get a look at one of the device’s more interesting features. The name of this feature is Crystal Sound – it is a technology that LG already uses in its TVs that allows the device’s display to also play the role of a loudspeaker. Technicalities of how this happens are complicated, having something to do with the glass vibrations, but it does not matter. G8 ThinQ will have two loudspeakers, one build into its lower front panel and the other one being its display, ...
It has been four years now and Galaxy S6 is still being supported with security updates
Do not get me wrong, I hate Samsung as much as I hate any other large company, but I have to admit that this is quite classy. Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have just received their January 2019 security update software versions G920FXXU6ESA1 and G925FXXU6ESA1: pretty impressive for smartphones released in on April 2015. This bodes well for the owners of Galaxy S7 and newer Samsung devices – it will be a long time before your smartphones will be so out of date that they will not be supported any longer. ...

Sony wants you to buy a walkman. Why? Because video game
Buy an expensive and pointless device because it has a logo of a video game you probably have not played anyway, Sony said; and that is why we now have the NW-A55 Series A Sony Walkman on the market. What will the 260 dollars that it costs get us? A walkman that plays mp3 files, with 16GB of space, box with the logo of Kingdom Hearts 3 and… that is all. There are also wireless headphones that cost 220 dollars – both products are, imho, pointless. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Phone blew up in London metro
Yesterday an interesting accident took place in the international London metro station. The usual hustle and bustle of the terminal has been interrupted when a sudden explosion has been heard, with smoke quickly filling the hall. People, sadly used to terrorist attacks, started to run, but soon stopped when it became clear there is no danger: it was a smartphone or, more specifically, smartphone’s battery that was the culprit. The specific model has yet to be recognized, though some speculate that it may be Sony Xperia; the phone’s owner has not been found. Nobody has got hurt, ...

Render and specs of Sony Xperia XA3
Both renders and some of the specs of Sony’s new mid-ranger have leaked online: the former looks as presented above, and has been published online by Winfuture.de. Renders show us a device with a 6.5′ Cinemadisplay, err, display with 21:9 proportions as well as a dual camera setup. There is no rear-mounted fingerprint scanner to be seen, so there is probably one built into the device’s display. The rest of the smartphone’s specs will be more or less such:– 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 CPU,– GPU Adreno 512,– 4GB RAM, 64GB memory space, microSD card ...
Ubisoft wil soon start The Division 2’s open beta
Launch date of The Division 2 is near (march 15th), but do not worry, you will get to play your beta before that. Open beta will take place on March 1 to 4. It will be available to every PC owner with Uplay as well as to owners of Xbox One and PS4. The beta will open quite a large part of the game, too: whole east side of the city, with its Dark Zone and settlement, 2 campaign missions and 5 sidequests, 4v4 pvp and an unspecified end-game content – a raid, perhaps? We shall see – personally I am waiting for Anthem ...
