It will cost you money to keep using Windows 7 after 2020

Windows 7 will reach its official end of life on January 2020; that is when Microsoft will stop support that OS with further updates. Other than lacking features of more modern Windows’, it will also mean that the system will become more and more susceptible to hackers’ attacks due to its security measures getting quickly outgrown. If, for one reason or another, you will still want to keep using this OS after it dies, it will be possible… but you will have to pay up. Microsoft will offer the so-caled Windows 7 Extended Security Updates for a fee of $25 per year, with price ...

Death, password and bitcoins

Passwords are fleeting. It is easy to forget them. When you cannot login into your, say, My Little Pony forum account, you give them your e-mail address and reset the old password to get a new one; when you cannot get into your e-bank account, you take a trip to their nearest post, show them your ID card and they give you a new password. When you forgot the combination to your bitcoin wallet… well, that is where problems start.Heh, ”problems”. More like ”an impenetrable wall that will leave you with a cold, nagging feeling of hopelesness and misfortune”.Such is ...

Vivo V15 PRO is the first smartphone with Snapdragon 675 onboard

Qualcomm barely just came up with a sequel to the Snapdragon 670 CPU and there is already a company willing to put it into its new phone. The lucky device in question is V15 PRO by Vivo, which is supposed to officially come out on February 20th. Leaked benchmark of this device shows us that its new CPU is quite a monster – not as grand as those put into flagships, but certainly powerful enough for a common user. As for the rest of phone’s specs, here they are:– 6,59′ Super AMOLED display, 1080 × 2316p,– 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM,– triple main camera, 48mpx + ...

Bitcoin is currently more expensive to gain than it is worth

According to a report from JPMorgan Chase analysts, it currently costs a bit over 4000 dollars to make one bitcoin. This would be fine, if not for the fact that, after being made, such bitcoin is only worth 3800 dollars – not the best deal out there. At the moment it is only worth mining bitcoins in countries that have special deals with electric power distributors, e.g. China. It also turns out that the bitcoin’s exchange rate is falling; this happens, though, and should probably not be a cause of ...

Lenovo is working on a new tablet

This new model, one Tab V7, will be a rather atypical one. As shown on the render above, the 7′ display makes it closer to a large smartphone than a regular tablet. Its proportions will probably also be different than the regular 16;9; another difference. What is more is that very few tablets currently available on the market have rounded corners like the Tab V7 will. As for its specs, all we know is that it will come with 4 GB RAM, 32 or 64 GB ROM, camera, selfie shooter and Android 9 Pie OS. The Tab V7 will NOT have fingerprint scanner, though. Oh well.Currently there is no ...
