Just when a man thinks life cannot get much weirder… New law will enter into life in China on October 1st which will make staying anonymous online much more difficult for the Chinese. Chinese government will persecute all websites that will allow their users to register with nicknames and fake personal data. Persecutions are said to be mainly financial. Those websites will most likely do all in their power to force or convince their users to use their real ID when online, therefore basically removing anonymity from the Chinese Internet. Everyone will always know who wrote or uploaded ...

Sailfish X, a new operating system for Sony Xperia X
Jolla, Finnish tech company, has officially introduced Sailfish X, a Sailfish operating system for Sony Xperia X smartphone. OS will become available for pre-order on September 27th, for a price of €49.90. Now that we have the basic info out of the way, what the heck is this Sailfish, and why does it exist?Well, it is an OS. Duh. As to why would someone want to work on this Sailfish X instead of Android, there is a list of good sides of owning this OS, although Jolla also informs us that users may face some difficulties, like lack of support for fingerprint sensor or FM radio and ...
Samsung Galaxy S9 news; CPU, OS and more
Please keep in mind that the below information neither comes from a completely reliable source, nor speaks of a fully developed product, as the phone is still in development. With that in mind, here is the list of features that we heard Galaxy S9 and S9+ may possess:– phone will carry an internal designation SM-G960. While it seemingly does not matter, knowing the device’s internal name can help pinpoint it among any leaked sources,– Android 8.0 Oreo OS with the newest Samsung Experience UI,– fingerprint scanner placed in a centered rectangular cutout,– ...
Pink Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is here
I could begin this post by writing about how it is Samsung’s policy to first deliver us their devices in few basic colour variants and then gradually offer new options, and how this time is different because pink variant of the device is out even though the device is not available yet, but who cares! The important thing is that yes, Star Pink Galaxy Note 8 is out, but no, you probablly will not be able to buy it. You see, as of now, Star Pink is only available in Taiwan, and there is no word on it being released globally or even in few other separate countries. The above info comes ...
Unlocked BlackBerry KEYone is now available from more Canadian retailers
Among the new ones are Walmart, Blueshop, Staples and PC-Canada, though the last one currently lists the device as out of stock (or on ”back order”, as someone put it in another article. English is funny). Stores’ price is mostly the same everywhere – $729.99 or similiar.I often find myself writing about BlackBerry-related news in Canada. It seems you moose-hunting, beer-drinking awesome people have much love for this brand. Is it because BlackBerry is originally a Canadian company, or do their devices have features or style that particulary suits your fancy? I would ...
Unlocked Galaxy A7 (2017) ships out to the US
Galaxy A7 (2017) is one of Samsung’s mid-range devices, offering a decent specification for a reasonable price. While the phone has not been officially released in the United States of America, customers of B&H Photo Video can already buy an unlocked, dual SIM version of the phone. It can also be bought from Amazon, but in that case you will not get an US warranty for the device, while retailers offer a one-year long one. Phone’s price is $379.99. Colour variants available are gold and blue, with black coming soon.Specification:– 5.7′ Super AMOLED display, 1080 ...
The Walking Dead: Our World, a new AR game has been announced
Pokemon Go is cool and all, but it is time for a new player on the AR market. Personally I think that the project will fail tremendously, but what do I know… Anyway, AMC TV channel and Next Game developer have joined forces and announced The Walking Dead: Our World, a new artificial reality game for smartphones. Game trailer does not show actual gameplay footage, but still looks pretty cool, with running between zombies, shooting, slashing, explosions and what seems to be a promise of co-op mode, if not outright MMO-like multiplayer. Another feature will be, erm, taking selfies with ...
First ever water-and-dust resistant BlackBerry phone will be coming out this October
According to tech news website Engadget, a new BlackBerry smartphone will be released in October. The general idea behind this unnamed device is for it to be weather-proof. The IP-67 certificate is not, naturally, the only one of its supposedly important features:– a reportedly large battery, 26 hours of ”mixed use” life,– durability,– all-touch, no physical keyboard. It is possible, but in no way confirmed, that the phone in question is BlackBerry BBD100-1. If so, its specification includes Snapdragon 626 CPU, 4GB RAM and a 1080p ...
HTC U11 version with large amounts of memory launches
The difference between this and the regular U11 are, as the title suggests, memory capacity. Regular U11 comes with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM, an already respectable number; the upgraded U11 has 128GB ROM and 6GB RAM, making a considerably more powerful device. How does this upgrade change the phone’s price? Significantly but also not by as much as it could. The more memory-able U11 costs £699, which is fifty pounds more than the original costs.Whether or not this is a good deal is up to ...
We now know how much might LG V30 cost
Tick tock, tick tock, the clock is ticking… as LG V30 release is almost upon us, we still do not know everything about the phone. We have gathered some rumours about the device’s specification, yes, but right until today we had no idea about its cost. Well, according to ETNews, LG V30 will cost 900 thousand South Korean wons, which translates into roughly 665 euro. LG V30 Plus, an upgraded version of the device, might cost even 800 euro. Also, do remember that European and American prices might be higher than Korean’s.What do you think? Will LG V30 turn out to be worth ...
