The (2018) in the name is an important addition, because there was a bit of a ruckus in the LG regarding the naming process. Last year, LG has released a smartphone under the name of LG isai Beat V34. Marketing specs have seemingly decided that such a name will not pass in Europe and it was decided to call european release of that phone Q8. With a ”real” Q8 coming out now, things got… complicated. With this out of the way, lets see what does the new, ”real” LG Q8 (2018) offer:– 6,2 inch display, 18:9, IPS panel, FHD+,– dimensions 160,1 x 77,7 x 8,4 ...

President of Venezuela has been attacked by a drone
It is the first known case of a head of a state coming under attack from a drone. During the 81st anniversary of a Bolivian National Guard, president of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro has been targeted by a drone carrying an explosive charge. Drone exploded in a fair distance from the president, leaving him and his entourage unharmed but inflicting wounds on seven members of the National Guard. Parts of the attack can be seen in this video.Attack caused panic, during which president has been escorted to safety. A new, mysterious group calling itself Soldados de Franelas, or Flannel Soldiers, has ...
Android 9 Pie!
It is not Pistachio after all! Google has officially unveiled its newest operating system, Android 9, to the world. Event has shared much information about the OS, ”most importantly” its name. It turns out that Android 9 P will be called Pie, as in apple pie or cherry pie. Mmm, cherry pie… Anyway, Android Pie is already available for the very first smartphones: Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL and, last but not least, Essential Phone. The new OS will be downloaded automatically, with no need for manual control over the process (sounds spooky when I put ...
Life is Strange 2 has its first teaser trailer!
Woohoo! LiS is really getting a sequel! Adventure game from 2015 (though an interactive story is perhaps a more fitting name), Life is Strange is an adult, well-crafted game that impressed the players with a story about a complicated life of a teenage girl with superpowers – and it is much better than it sounds, trust me. The multi-layered story has left us wanting more, and although both the Before the Storm expansion as well as a standalone Adventures of Captain Spirit were good, the second main course is still before us.Game’s teaser trailer can be watched here, ...

The mod is coming out in the US on August 16th for a yet to be known price. We do not know if and when will the mod be released in other countries. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Android P may be released soon
Or so says Evan Blass. According to the all-knowing god of leaks, Google will release Android 9.0 P on August 20th. Blass has not provided any proof to back his claims, but his mostly stellar record on rumours is proof itself. Some of Android P’s more interesting features will include a dark mode for saving battery, Clear All button and a built-in notch. Whether or not P in Android P stands for Pistachio is still up for debate. Tweet Vote on HN ...
That is all, folks, or Moto Mods are done
It seems that we will not be getting any new Moto smartphones until the end of 2018. That is sad (or would be if I cared in the least). What is even more sad is the fact that after this year Motorola will not support Moto Mods any longer. The company has promised us to develop new mods for three years, it kept its word and now the deal is done. Shame, for some of these modules were really interesting. Power packs were the most financially successful ones, but lets not forget about that 10x zoom camera mod, or the 70′ projector screen one. Along with the modules will go the Z series, ...
Apple is now worth over one billion dollars
According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Tim Cook’s company now owns 4 829 926 000 shares. Each one of them is worth 207.5 dollars. When put together, these numbers give us the company’s value of over one billion dollars.Wow. Steve Jobs would be proud, as his company is the first one in the world to have reached this value. It was not sure if Apple would win this unofficial race – Google, Microsoft and Amazon were on its heels. It is interesting to see that the first company in the world to have reached value of one billion USD is not even a company that ...

This one was published by the New Zealand branch of the company. It is supposed to be a teaser before the phone’s release in New York on August 9th. It is not the first advertisement of this phone online, too. Under this link – https://youtu.be/DMoLuMJB8oo – one can find a 3D render video of the device. Tweet Vote on HN ...
