Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus might have a goshdarn large battery

Samsung phones are famous for pretty much never staying secret until their release date; leaks and rumours have the tendency of spilling all over the web way before any Samsung device hits the store shelves. It is the same with Galaxy S10 Plus, another incoming flagship by this company. According to a tweet by famous leakster Ice universe, this smartphone will have a pretty large 4100mAh battery. This rumour is, sadly, not backed up by any actual data. This plus an earlier rumour stating Galaxy S10 Plus’ battery capacity at 4000mAh, puts this piece of gossip into question.Guess we ...

Google Coral? What is that

Well, it is a new smartphone made by Google (duh). We do not have the slightest idea as to when and where will it be lauched and how much will it cost but, thanks to the work of mysmartprice, we know a little bit about its specifications:– Snapdragon 855 CPU, 8 cores,– 6 GB RAM,– Android Q operating system.Device’s low benchmark score is possibly caused by badly optimized, still yet to be released Android Q OS. As for the device itself, some speculate that it may be Google Pixel ...

iPhone sells well in the US and much less well in China

According to the research performed by the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, iPhone XR was the best selling phone of the last quarter of 2018 in the US. The number of iPhone 8 equals that of iPhones 8 and 8 Plus combined, and iPhone XR counted for 39% of all Apple smartphones sold in that time. Unfortunately (or fortunately), things are not as great in China: During the whole 2018 Apple has managed to sell only 34.2 million units of their devices there, 2.5 million less than two years ago. Apple has lost its position of the 2nd favourite Chinese smartphone brand to Xiaomi; as for ...

Samsung Galaxy Fold will also have a 5G version available

Sorry for the overabundance of Samsung news: I will do my best to find something else to write about soon. For now, though, lets get back to topic at hand. Currently there are two major new trends slowly entering the world of mobile devices: one is foldability and another is 5G connectivity. Samsung probably knows this and has decided that there is no need to spread itself too thin, hence why its upcoming Galaxy F will also be available in a 5G connectivity supporting version. This decision has probably been made after Huawei’s announcement that it is working on a 5G device; Samsung ...

Samsung Galaxy A50 certification

Device listed as Galaxy A50 (SM-A505FN) has just been certified by Bluetooth. Listing informs us of the fact that the phone will support the Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy standard and… not much else. Its’ very existence, though, supports the rumour that Galaxy A50 will be announced soon, probably next month at MWC 2019. Other, older rumours regarding this phone include specs such as large Infinity-V display, Exynos 9610 CPU, 4000mAh battery, 4GB RAM, 64 or 128GB storage, 24mpx main camera and Android 9 Pie ...

Ex-vice chief of Samsung SDI hired by Apple. Makes me feel all warm inside

Hot topic! According to Bloomberg, Apple has just hired one Soonho Ahn, an ex-vice chief of Samsund SDI, Samsung’s branch responsible for developing batteries. In other words, Apple hired a guy indirectly responsible for the whole Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Mr. Ahn has been hired to lead the company’s in-house battery development efforts; makes sense, seeing as Apple is currently working on a large number of projects (e.g. MicroLED displays and new CPUs) that will require upgraded, top of the shelf and hopefully not blowing up batteries to support them. Mister Ahn has refrained ...

Motorola patented new Razr project

As we already know, Motorola has announced that it is now working on a remake of the old Razr flip phone. All that we knew about it until now was that it will cost 1500 USD and will probably come out sometime this year. Today, though, thanks to the hard work of journalists from the 91Mobiles blog, we can take a look at sweet graphics from new Razr’s patent. Motorola has supposedly patented the device in December 2018. The graphics are quite informative, too. They show us that the device looks quite like its old predecessor, except maybe being a bit more square. When closed, a small ...
