Hot topic! According to Bloomberg, Apple has just hired one Soonho Ahn, an ex-vice chief of Samsund SDI, Samsung’s branch responsible for developing batteries. In other words, Apple hired a guy indirectly responsible for the whole Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Mr. Ahn has been hired to lead the company’s in-house battery development efforts; makes sense, seeing as Apple is currently working on a large number of projects (e.g. MicroLED displays and new CPUs) that will require upgraded, top of the shelf and hopefully not blowing up batteries to support them. Mister Ahn has refrained himself from commenting the situation.
