According to the research performed by the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, iPhone XR was the best selling phone of the last quarter of 2018 in the US. The number of iPhone 8 equals that of iPhones 8 and 8 Plus combined, and iPhone XR counted for 39% of all Apple smartphones sold in that time. Unfortunately (or fortunately), things are not as great in China: During the whole 2018 Apple has managed to sell only 34.2 million units of their devices there, 2.5 million less than two years ago. Apple has lost its position of the 2nd favourite Chinese smartphone brand to Xiaomi; as for beating its primary competitor, Huawei and its 105.1 million devices sold throughout the year in China, well, good luck.
