Nokia Looking to Pawn Its Vertu Luxury Line

Nokia is interested in selling off its U.K.-based Vertu subsidiary, which sells high-end cell phones. According to a report in the Financial Times, Nokia has hired Goldman Sachs to help it fetch top dollar for the cell phone unit, which is valued between $270 and $400 million. ZTE today indicated that it has licensed the Embedded Inflexion UI product from Mentor Graphics. The Inflexion UI tools will allow ZTE to create 2D and 3D user interfaces for its future Android smartphones. Google confirmed to CNET that its Google Wallet mobile payment service will not be included on the Galaxy Nexus, which is due to launch on Verizon’s network later this month. “Verizon asked us not to include this functionality in the product,” a Google spokesperson told CNET.
