Nokia Reveals Hotspot Feature Headed to Lumia Line

Nokia has indicated via a FAQ posted to its web site that its Lumia Windows Phone devices will be updated with support for the mobile hotspot feature. The Lumia 800 and 710, which are already available in some markets, do not include this feature. According to Nokia, the feature will be added in a future system update, though the timing and availability of the update was not provided. MetroPCS began selling the ZTE Score M via its web site today for $49.99 after mail-in rebate. The ZTE Score is a variant of the Score sold by Cricket Wireless. MetroPCS’s version has a slightly larger battery and is slightly thicker, though other features remain unchanged. Verizon Adding Apps, Features, and Fixes to LG Revolution

Verizon Wireless today said that it os offering a system update to the LG Revolution. The update does not install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but does add a few new features. The chief new tool that will arrive with the update is Verizon’s remote diagnostic software, which will let Verizon’s technical support staff view the user’s device remotely to help with trouble shooting. Motorola Says China Still Reviewing Google Acquisition

Motorola today revealed in regulatory filings that its acquisition by Google is to receive an additional round of scrutiny from China regulators. The deal has already been approved by European and U.S. regulators, and is awaiting only China’s approval before the acquisition can be completed. Motorola said it still believes the deal will close by June, though it cautioned, “Motorola Mobility and Google can provide no assurances as to whether or when the transaction will receive clearance.” The acquisition was first announced in August ...
