LG Viper for Sprint Available

Sprint today announced that the LG Viper smartphone will become available for pre-order starting on April 12. The Viper will cost $99.99 and requires a two-year contract with an unlimited everything plan. The Viper, announced in January, is an Android smartphone that’s compatible with Sprint’s forthcoming LTE 4G network (planned to launch by mid-year). FCC Reveals Sprint-Bound LG Windows Phone

Documents seen on the Federal Communications Commission’s web site reveal information about an unannounced device from LG. According to the documents, the LG LS831 supports CDMA in the EMSR band (800MHz), which only Sprint uses. One of the documents is also called the “Sprint Nextel Waiver”, further earmarking the LS831 for Sprint. The device also supports CDMA in the 1900MHz band, as well as Bluetooth. Verizon Wireless Announces the LG Lucid

Verizon Wireless today announced the LG Lucid, an Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone that supports Verizon’s LTE 4G network and has a 4-inch display protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Verizon points out features such as the Lucid’s Quick Reply feature which can be used to reject incoming calls, Quick Dialer widget, and Polaris Office. Other features include a 5-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, user-facing camera, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB or RAM, mobile hotspot, Video Producer software, and Swype. Verizon Wireless today said that it os offering a system update to the LG Revolution. The update does not install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but does add a few new features. The chief new tool that will arrive with the update is Verizon’s remote diagnostic software, which will let Verizon’s technical support staff view the user’s device remotely to help with trouble shooting. Sprint today provided more details about the LG Rumor Reflex, which was sighted on Boost Mobile’s web site last weekend. This “green” device is the latest from Sprint to target those looking to minimize their ecological footprint.
