Huawei becomes world’s second largest smartphone company

According to the market research company Counterpoint Research, Huawei just overtook Apple and became second largest smartphone company worldwide. Ouchies, Apple… this was caused by particulary good sales of Huawei phones in June and July. Still, Apple may very well regain its 2nd best position soon, as iPhone 8 is set to release on September 12th.What do you think about that development? Good, bad? Just a momentary hiccup for Apple, or beginning of the new reign of Huawei? Let us ...

Huawei P9 Lite Mini will launch in Europe

P9 Lite Mini is a mid-range version of the recently released Huawei P9 smartphone. While the phone was not officially revealed, perhaps because Huawei did not consider it big enough deal, leaked info states that at least one Hungarian retailer will start selling it sometime late August. Which probably means tomorrow, or the day after. Phone’s price will be an affordable €190. We have no information about P9 Lite Mini becoming available in other European countries, but it would be weird for it to be just a Hungarian release, so we will most probably see it available outside ...

New Huawei Mate 10 picture made it online

CEO of Huawei believes that Mate 10 will be the main competition of the upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone. We will see whether or not this will be true; right now though we can get an idea of whether or not will one be prettier than the other. The picture above comes from a chinese website Weibo. It shows us a bezel-less phone with rear that may be made from a brushed aluminium. On this rear, both main camera and fingerprint scanner are parched in the same vertical line. This sounds all pretty nifty, but do remember that renders can lie. There have been many cases where a product, smartphone or ...

What might be Huawei Nova 2 Plus just hit FCC

Two slightly different models have just made it through the United States Federal Communications Commission. Devices, numbered BAC-L03 and BAC-L23, will differ in the number of SIM cards supported, with L03 supporting one card and L23 supporting two. Similiarity of the devices’ numbers to BAC-AL00, which is Huawei Nova 2 Plus’ model number in China, leads us to believe that these may be the US versions of the smartphone. If that turns out to be true, Americans can look forward to getting a Huawei phone with 5.5′, 1920 x 1080p display, Snapdragon 625 CPU and a 3340mAh ...
