Huawei confirms continued work on Mate 40 smartphone, announces it will be their last smartphone sporting Kirin CPU

The news came from the mouth of Huawei’s CEO Yu Chengdong. He has said that, starting August 15, it will be impossible for Huawei to obtain more Kirin CPU’s due to the US-China tech trade ban coming to full force. Since Huawei used to get its processors from the american TSMC, well…

This was confirmed by TSMC.

As of now, we do not know what CPU’s will Huawei use in the future.
