Research In Motion has decided to postpone its annual analysts’ briefing until after it launches its forthcoming BlackBerry 10 platform. RIM to give developers BlackBerry 10 prototypes at upcoming event

RIM has announced that it plans to provide developers that attend an upcoming event with BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha devices. The devices are pre-production prototypes that run a modified version of the PlayBook OS. They are supposed to help developers prepare their apps for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones. T-Mobile USA has begun delivering BlackBerry OS 7.1 to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Torch 9810. Research In Motion today announced that is has acquired a company called Paratek Microwave. Paratek creates adaptive tuning technologies for multi-band handsets.
