RIM to give developers BlackBerry 10 prototypes at upcoming event

RIM has announced that it plans to provide developers that attend an upcoming event with BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha devices. The devices are pre-production prototypes that run a modified version of the PlayBook OS. They are supposed to help developers prepare their apps for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones. RIM stresses that this will only be provided to developers that attend its BlackBerry Jam event in May, and it will not be sold commercially.
