Despite featuring support for speedy 4G LTE service in the cellular version of its new iPad, Apple is still limiting the FaceTime video chat feature to Wi-Fi connections, a holdover from the 3G versions of the iPad that were constrained for bandwidth. One would think that with the greater bandwidth afforded by LTE (and early reviews show the iPad takes good advantage of it), Apple would allow FaceTime over cellular connections. Verizon Wireless has begun distributing an update for the Motorola DROID X2 smartphone. The update fixes a handful of bugs in the device’s software and patches a security hole.
