Verizon updating Motorola DROID X2, but not to Android 4.0

Verizon Wireless has begun distributing an update for the Motorola DROID X2 smartphone. The update fixes a handful of bugs in the device’s software and patches a security hole. Unfortunately it does not update the DROID X2 to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Motorola has not announced plans to do so in the future. Users should get a notification on their handsets when the update is ready to be downloaded and installed.
