We have already heard that iPhone 8 will be released in three versions, and that one of them will have a 5-inch screen. Today, we learn that at least the biggest of the three models will come with an OLED display AND that Sharp may be producing some of those OLEDs in the US. The aforementioned (mind you, this is not 100% confirmed news) changes have been revealed by Tai, a CEO of Sharp, one of the manufacturing company working for Apple. OLEDs produce a color contrast much sharper than that of LTPS. Until now, Apple has renounced that technology, officially considering it ...

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro, a metallic phablet
Little is known about this one. It will be an improvement over the Galaxy C7 model, yes, and it will indeed sport a bling-bling metallic housing. Phones value is said to be Rs. 13,645, but this tells us little of its price outside India – IF the phone will be released outside India at all, since at the moment there is no indication of it. Galaxy C7’s price was $400, so it can be estimated that its Pro version will not deviate far from that number. Sim-unlock.net is a system that offers unlocking sim locks of any phone model. LG U – a surprise phone and its specification
LG has decided to surprise us by publishing a pretty-looking mid-ranger completely out of blue. In Korea, phone will cost roughly $353. We have not ...

LG G6 is in development; will NOT be a modular phone
Chosun.com is a Chinese news source that the info comes from – nice to know there is a new LG in development! It is suggested that the phone will launch on February or March 2017. Too bad, though, that it will not have curved OLED panels; these were planned, according to the source, but LG Display decided it will not be able to supply enough of these to cover the whole production. As for the modular functionality, LG drops it because of the poor sales of the modular LG5 (“high cost and a lack of necessity for modules”). The company, it seems, does not want to repeat its ...

This quarter’s Samsung income lowest in two years
Samsung has posted its Q3 revenue, and it does not look good. The discontinuation of the Note 7 had a serious impact on the company’s income. Not delving into the boring details, here are the bare bones: the company’s overall revenue was 7.5% lower that last year’s, with the company making only $42.01 milion. The division that took the biggest hit is, of course, the mobile division, which made only $87.8 milion this year, a stunning 96% less than it did last year. Still, Samsung keeps up a straight face and promises to turn the corner with its upcoming models: high end ...
