We have already heard that iPhone 8 will be released in three versions, and that one of them will have a 5-inch screen. Today, we learn that at least the biggest of the three models will come with an OLED display AND that Sharp may be producing some of those OLEDs in the US. The aforementioned (mind you, this is not 100% confirmed news) changes have been revealed by Tai, a CEO of Sharp, one of the manufacturing company working for Apple.

OLEDs produce a color contrast much sharper than that of LTPS. Until now, Apple has renounced that technology, officially considering it “oversaturated”, but it seems they have changed their collective mind about it. Is it great news, or barely worth mentioning? You tell me.
