As great as Galaxy S8 is, it does have a few problems. Many of them are disputable – yes, it has a screen burn but every AMOLED screen has that issue, the red screen problem may be just a settings issue etc. Still, even the staunchest defenders of the Samsung brand has to admit that, darn, Galaxy S8 is fragile. Last week, I told you about a special test in which Galaxy S8’s fragility was proven. Well, Samsung has taken notice of the issue and decided it is a good chance to make more money – according to a couple of leaks by one Roland Quandt, South Korean company is ...

Facebook provides us with ten tips for spotting fake news – on paper
It is only one month until the Great Britain’s General Election of June 8. Facebook is wary of a problem that can influence it and other important political events, namely the issue of fake news. False news are nothing new, eh heh, but have become particulary troublesome during the last US’ presidental campaign, during which both sides’ supporters accused one another of spreading fakes news about their candidates (example above – yes, supporters of that orange guy, that news is not real). Because of this, Facebook has issued a list of ten things you should do in ...
Woohoo, unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 has finally received Android Nougat update
It’s been a while but finally it is here. Unlocked version of the Galaxy S7 smartphone will now run on an Android Nougat. The care package weights 1.2 GB, so make sure you have enough free space before downloading it. Make sure that your phone is charged and in range of Wi-Fi until the download completes. If you live in the UK and possess a Galaxy S7 edge, you too should receive your upgrade. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Glossy red renders of HTC U 11 have leaked
As always, it is just a render, so it may or may not be legit – although its source, @OnLeaks, adds to its viability. True or not, what does it depict? A quite pretty, glossy red colour variant of the upcomin HTC U 11, and that is pretty much it. So if you’d like to buy your U 11 in a pretty red colour, be happy. I will throw in the phone’s specification, or what is known of it, for good measure:– 6GB RAM, 128GB storage memory,– Snapdragon 835 CPU,– Android 7.1 Nougat OS,– 16mpx main and 12mpx secondary ...
FaceTV, or Facebook is going to debut its own TV shows next month
O tempora o mores… from what I heard, Facebook is working on roughly twenty five TV shows. Social website company plans on launching them some time in early June. According to a source who spoke to Business Insider, most of these shows are supposed to be lower-budget, five to ten minutes flicks, while few of them are supposed to be big-budget ”marquee shows”. If the report is to be believed, Facebook’s move into the television has two reasons; first, to have better control over the content its users views (how exacly does that work I do not know), and second, to ...
BlackBerry May security update coming any day now
If you’re the owner of a DTEK 50, DTEK 60 or BlackBerry Priv, then get ready to receive your security patch… well, sometime soon, no one knows when exacly but soon. Do remember that the first to receive the update will be those with an Android OS and whose phones have been bought from ShopBlackBerry – the rest of us schmucks will have to wait some more. The update’s features include fixing a number of security issues with both Google and BlackBerry’s own software. If you wish to check the complete list of issues fixed, check out the Android Security ...
Facebook vs. illegal content, or FB hires 3000 new moderators
Dark clouds gather over Facebook. Hating is a large percentage of the portal’s content; cyberbullying runs rampant; illicit posts and videos become way more popular than they should be; fake news, whatever they actually are, sow disinformation. Mark Zuckerberg, owner and one of the creators of Facebook seems to think thinks that enough is enough and decides to increase the number of Facebook moderators from 4500 to 7500.It’s hard to say if this increased manpower will help alleviate the situation. Perhaps it is just a subterfuge meant to make Zuckerberg’s hands appear ...
DLI-AL10, or there will be a new Huawei Honor
Another new Huawei phone has received its TENAA certification. Mysterious newcomer has received codename DLI-AL10. Thankfully, it will be an actually new phone and not just an already known Huawei renamed for a new market (this happens weirdly often with Huawei. For example, Huawei Honor 6C is known in some countries as Huawei Nova Smart). This fact is proven by the device’s specification, which does not fit any known Huawei phones:– 5-inch display, TFT, HD,– 8-core CPU, 1.4GHz, – 13mpx main camera, 5mpx secondary camera,– 3GB RAM, 32GB storage memory, microSD ...
Samsung Galaxy S7 may be the most used Samsung phone in the world
According to a study conducted by the advertising agency ScientiaMobile, Galaxy S7 is the smartphone that generates more mobile browsing than any other Samsung device. What it means that is that, effectively, Galaxy S7 is the most popularly used Samsung in the world. Yay? ScientiaMobile analysts believe that the Galaxy S8, Samsung’s newest phone, has a chance to beat the S7’s record. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring, banana phone!
Tired of using plain, boring smartphone? Do you want something new, fresh and yellow? My friend, Banana Phone is the device for you. Starting its life as a kickstarter project on Indiegogo, Banana Phone is a Bluetooth communicator that connects to your phone wirelessly. All you can do on it is making and taking and changing volume, but that is not the point – the point is that you’re talking on a banana. Banana Phone is said to have a large battery, enough for ten hours of talking, so you will never run out of juice when cruising town with your ap-peel-ing device. As a bonus, ...
