Samsung has just reported that they are closing the production of LCD screens.

The decision was made to do it rght now, even though the previous plan was to keep it live for at least 6 months more.

The reason for this is the fact that competition has been too fierce and Samsung Group wanted to limit losses.

Samsung Display will focus on manufacturing OLED and QD (quantum-dot) panels and all employess will be transfered to this sector.

The decision was hard but very important, because Samsung needs any edge they can get against the competition.

Cutting this part of their bussiness will allow them to foucs their attention on more pressing matters.
