Samsung Galaxy A40 will cost…
… 249 euro. We will spend this money on June, which is when the phone is supposed to come out. Will it be worth the price? Its specs, or what we know of it, look pretty good: 6.4′ Super AMOLED FHD+ display with built-in fingerprint scanner, made using the Infinity-U tech, Exynos 7904 CPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space, all of it ran by Android 9 Pie with One UI. Phone’s camera, battery & other details are currently unavailable. Tweet Vote on HN ...
We now know the looks of OnePlus 7
OnePlus 7 is not exacly a secretive device, but until now we have lacked a good render of it. No more: one such render has just been put online by @OnLeaks. The renders show a retractable selfie shooter, 3x main camera, 6.5′ display, thin – as always – frames and, sadly, lack of a headphone jack. Release date of OnePlus 7 is still unknown. Samsung Galaxy A90 may be a China exclusive
Ice Universe strikes again! Today, the leakster extraordinaire has brought us a handful of news about the upcoming Galaxy A90 by Samsung. According to the man, Galaxy A90 is being developed by the Chinese division of Samsung; this suggests that the device may be exclusive to this country. Some people believe, though, that this will only be the case for a short time and the smartphone will then come out in other countries as well. Other news speak of a so-called ”lifting rotary camera solution”. What it means is that Galaxy A90 will have a single camera setup that will rotate ...
Google made an app for Saudi men to track ”their” women, and they are not sorry
Speaking in video game terms, Google officially gets -5 to reputation with Decent Human Beings faction. The app in question, Absher, allows a number of functions, one of which is the ability to both track and restrict the travel of women and other dependents. Google has been pressed to cancel the app by fourteen members of the US Congress, Amnesty International and a number of human right activists. According to them, the app ”violates the human rights of Saudi women” and ”allows your companies (Google) and your American employees to be accomplices in the oppression of ...
Samsung is already working on cases for Galaxy Fold
The Verge has recently reported that a company called Spigen would take upon itself an interesting task of designing a case for Samsung’s new foldable device. Th company has been developing as many as 20 different prototype cases: now that the device has been officially revealed, Spigen has begun actual testing (which is odd, since you would think that Samsung would let them in on a secret so that the case can come out sooner. Hm). From what The Verge has learned, it seems that Spigen now wants to release three different Galaxy Fold case models: Thin Fit, Ultra Hybrid and Tough Armor. ...
Facebook Messenger’s Dark Mode is here
You asked for it and you got it – the Dark Mode is here. Messenger’s Dark Mode (for both iOS and Android) has been at works for some time. Now that it is finally available, how do you access it? It is pretty easy: first, you need to make sure that your Messenger is up to date. Is the latest update installed? Okay, good. Now you need to pick one of your friends, family or pizza deliverers and send them a text message with nothing but a crescent-shaped moon emoji like this one: ☽. Done? If so, then you should be seeing a bunch of similiar emojis appearing on your ...
Kind-of Active variant of Samsung Galaxy S9 will not be available in stores
At least not in physical stores. For some reason, this year’s Active Galaxy S smartphone will only be obtainable online. What is even more odd is that this device will not be called Active; again, we do not know why. Still, it will be Active in all but name: it will be a Galaxy S flagship with same specs and some rugged features added. In this case, these features will include display changed to 5.2′ 2540×1440 p, walkie-talkie communication, water and dust resistance and a thick case.Sadly, we do not know when and for how much will this smartphone be available. We will keep you ...
YouTube disables comments under videos with juveniles
YouTube officials have just released an official statement that they will disable comments under video material depicting adolescents under the age of 18. To be precise, this material needs to be made specifically for uploading on YouTube: movie clips’ comments, for example, will not be disabled. YouTube’s decision is an answer to two large companies, Hasbro and Disney, removing their ads from the website, something that they have done because of a pedophile scandal in which a number of sexual predators have been found trying to persuade children via YT comments to meet them. ...
Facebook will allow you to clear your history – a bit like your web browser
The first time this new function was ever mentioned was last May, when Mark Zuckerberg himself announced that Facebook is working on it. It has now been confirmed by the company’s CEO, David Wehner. This new tool’s function will be to allow the FB user to clear her or his history on the social website. This includes groups joined, content liked, apps installed etc. At least in theory – knowing Facebook, they will probably keep on spying on us nevertheless. Tweet Vote on ...
