Metro Exodus will only be available on Epic Games Store

Well that is odd. Metro Exodus, another sequel in the pretty famous series about people living in the post-apocalypse Russia, was supposed to get released on Steam in few weeks; the game already had its page there, pre-orders were available, the works. Suddenly, out of blue, the game has been removed from Steam’s offer and instead moved to a different platform, namely the newborn Epic Games Store (yes, the same Epic Games that released Fortnite). Looks like Deep Silver, the publisher behind Metro Exodus, have made a last minute decision to change their game’s publishing platform – a rare event but it does happen, although usually not when the game’s release date is so near. Epic Games must have given Deep Silver a pretty good offer to make it join the Dark… Light… another side of the Force. Since we do not know what exacly motivated Deep Silver to make this choice, it can be safely assumed it was money.

P.S. Metro: Exodus will be released on Steam on February 14, 2020, a year after its Epic Games Store release.
