Nokia 6.1 to have its OS updated to Android Pie with no beta tests

Nokia makes good phones but is not particulary fast when it comes to updating them. At least until now. Nokia 7 is already running on Pie, with 5.1’s update being planned. According to Juho Sarvikas, Nokia’s employee that often visits Twitter, Nokia 6.1 will not only be updated to Android Pie but quickly so, without entering the Beta Labs betatests first. On the one hand it is good, as we can expect the update to arrive any day; on the other hand, lack of beta testing does not bode well for the update’s ...

Have you played The Stanley Parable? Today is the first day you might honestly fulfill the game’s most notorious achievement

Most of video game achievements push us to play the game more – do this with that character, defeat XXX many enemies, play for YYY amount of hours et cetera. The Stanley Parable, a video game slash psychoanalysis from 2013, took a bit different approach. While the game does have a few normal – or as normal as The Stanley Parable can get – achievements, it also has one called ”Go Outside”. Obtaining this achievement is simple and yet difficult, as all you have to do is not playing the game for five years. Opposite to this is the ”Commitment” ...

Facebook is being taken to court over alleged fraud

Crowd Siren Agency is accusing Facebook of inflating its average time spent watching videos statistics. According to the agency, in years 2015-2016 FB has premeditely deceived its business partners by modifying their aforementioned statistics so that they are even 900% larger than they were supposed to. This in turn has created an artificial deflux of video content from YT and other platforms to Facebook, with content creators counting on FB’s ”magic” to garner them a large number of views. The whole fraud has supposedly begun with a glitch that FB found out back in 2015 ...

Device’s size is 91mm x 55mm x 5.3mm, and it weights 47 gram. Sounds good, right? Well, if you want to buy it, you will have to be ready to make a few sacrifices. KY-O1L lacks any kind of camera, sports a 2.8′ display and will cost $284.39 – quite a bit, considering how little it offers. On the plus side, its microscopic 380mAh battery will still easily outlast big boy pants’ smartphones and it does have LTE functionality and web ...

Lenovo K9 and Lenovo A5 are now out in India

Lenovo seemingly tries to push Xiaomi off its ”king of the budget smartphones in India” pedestal. The company has just released two new budget phones, K9 and A5, as pretty much a direct competition to Xiaomi Redmi 6 and 6A. Lenovo K9 offers a bit better specs than Redmi 6, but for the price of being slightly, well, pricier, while Lenovo A5 has slightly worse CPU than 6A but instead sports a fingerprint scanner that Redmi does not. Both phones have 18:9 display. Lenovo K9 costs ₹8,999 while Lenovo A5 costs either ₹5,999 or ₹6,999, depending on the memory ...
