Now, few months after that revelation, Google announced that after 1th of February 2019 it will begin to collect Android license fees from smartphone producers. How high those fees will be will depend on both the size of the phone’s display (why?) as well as the country it is being made in – the fee’s size can fluctuate between 2.5 and 40 dollars. We do not know how exacly will the fees influence phone’s prices, but it can be safely assumes that phone devs will have to square up somehow.
