We heard a rumer that the only carrir to sell the device in the USA will be AT&T.

Which is not good for a new player on the market.
To be succesfull the new model should appear in all cariers offer.
This way a lot more, people would decide to buy the phone, but now they also must choose to have a new service provider, which will not help at all.
