UK carrier O2 has revealed through its official Twitter account that the new HTC One X smartphone is expected to arrive in the UK on April 5. The One X is the new flagship smartphone from HTC, and features a 4.7-inch, 1280 x 720 pixel HD display, quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC’s new Sense 4 interface. Despite featuring support for speedy 4G LTE service in the cellular version of its new iPad, Apple is still limiting the FaceTime video chat feature to Wi-Fi connections, a holdover from the 3G versions of the iPad that were constrained for bandwidth. Verizon updating Motorola DROID X2, but not to Android 4.0
Verizon Wireless has begun distributing an update for the Motorola DROID X2 smartphone. The update fixes a handful of bugs in the device’s software and patches a security hole. Unfortunately it does not update the DROID X2 to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Motorola has not announced plans to do so in the future.
