AT&T has finally released the long-awaited Android 2.3 Gingerbread software upgrade for the Samsung Infuse 4G that was released last spring. The upgrade brings all of the improvements one would expect by jumping from Android 2.2 Froyo to 2.3 Gingerbread, including improved copy and paste, better battery management, and better overall performance. The Infuse 4G is getting a few other usability tweaks and bug fixes with the update as well. Unfortunately, this upgrade is not available over-the-air, so users will have plug their phones into a PC and use Samsung’s upgrade software to complete the update. Own a Mac? Better look for a friend with a Windows PC, because Samsung’s software isn’t available for Macs at this time.
