Nokia today indicated that it is delivering the first system update to the Lumia 800 Windows Phone device. The update adds features, such as improved email, audio quality, and brightness, as well as better voicemail notifications. The update also makes performance enhancements, and power efficiency and charging improvements. Nokia Looking to Pawn Its Vertu Luxury Line
Nokia is interested in selling off its U.K.-based Vertu subsidiary, which sells high-end cell phones. According to a report in the Financial Times, Nokia has hired Goldman Sachs to help it fetch top dollar for the cell phone unit, which is valued between $270 and $400 million. ZTE today indicated that it has licensed the Embedded Inflexion UI product from Mentor Graphics.
