Verizon Wireless has indicated that December 15 will be the next date on which its Long Term Evolution 4G network sees another significant expansion. Nokia Suite 3.2 has graduated from the Nokia Beta Labs and is now available for all to download. The revised (and renamed) desktop software for Windows PCs adds a number of features, including a brand new user interface. The rumors are swirling that the latest Google flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung will land November 21 with Verizon Wireless. The device was announced last month and will run Google’s latest and greatest operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). AT&T is now offering a new BlackBerry smartphone, the Bold 9900. The Bold 9900 offers 4G HSPA+ (not LTE) data support, as well as a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display along with the traditional QWERTY keyboard below. The device runs on RIM’s BlackBerry OS 7 and is, according to the manufacturer, the thinnest BlackBerry available to date at just 10.5mm (0.41in). Other features of note include a 5MP camera with 720p video recording, a 1.2GHz processor, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Torch 9860 offers a large and bright 3.7-inch full touchscreen display to support web browsing and picture viewing. Intellectual Ventures today announced that it has agreed to license its portfolio of 35,000 technology patents to LG Electronics. In addition to access to Intellectual Ventures’ patent portfolio, LG can also participate in Intellectual Ventures’ IP-for-Defense program, which helps protect companies from patent-based litigation.
