Intellectual Ventures today announced that it has agreed to license its portfolio of 35,000 technology patents to LG Electronics. In addition to access to Intellectual Ventures’ patent portfolio, LG can also participate in Intellectual Ventures’ IP-for-Defense program, which helps protect companies from patent-based litigation. LG didn’t disclose which patents it licensed, and terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
