Microsoft, Nokia to put $24 million into app development for Windows Phone

Nokia and Microsoft have announced that each company will invest 9 million EUR (US$12 million) into a mobile application development program at Aalto University in Finland over the next three years. The new AppCampus program will focus on creating mobile apps for the Windows Phone ecosystem, but it will also produce apps for Nokia’s S40 and Symbian-based phones. Samsung today announced that it will be distributing a large “Premium Suite” system update to the Galaxy Note during the second quarter that includes Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and other new features.
