Borderlands 3 officially revealed soon

This will not be a release, merely an official confirmation that the game is being made. That glorious event will take place during Pax East 2019, on March 28th, and will be held by Gearbox, creators of the Borderlands franchise. Lets hope that Gearbox will somehow refresh the old formula of looter shooters in BL3; otherwise I doubt the game’s success. Tweet Vote on HN ...

Nintendo, old cartridges & drugs

Where if not in the US? Julian Turner, a die hard fan of old school NES games, have won an auction for two video games for that console. The cartridges have arrived at Turner’s home, and it was during the unboxing that things took a turn towards weird… First of all, the cartridges were much heavier than they were supposed to be; second of all, they turned out to be PAL versions released in Europe and Australia but not North America. Intrigued, Turner opened them up and was more than surprised when he found two small, tightly packed packages with unknown substance inside them. He ...

First trailer of Doom: Annihilation is out, and it looks like a piece of crap

I am not movie critic but I recognize a flop when I see one, and Doom: Annihilation will flop hard. First trailer of the movie just came out; it shows us the main cast, some daemons and a biga… really huge BFG. Oh, and it also shows this being a low budget clip, and a really low budget one at that. I have a hard time considering this movie some sort of homage to the Doom series: it looks more like a cheap way of making some buck, considering the popularity of Doom 2016 and the positive reactions to Doom: Eternal trailers. The decision of putting a woman in the main role will probably ...

”Hypertrending”, a possibly creepy app function that shows you the most visited spots in town

Hypertrending is a new app function announced by the Foursquare, creators of the Foursquare City Guide search-and-discovery mobile app. The goal of this feature, currently limited to Austin, Texas, is to show its users how many people have recently been to any of the more well-known spots in town: pubs, cinemas, restaurants, clubs et cetera. Limited range of the app is Foursquare’s way of avoiding possible privacy concerns; they want to test it out first to see how, quote, ”creepy” do people find using it. If the results will be satisfactory, they will consider releasing ...
