A few days ago Microsoft has officially patented a method of integrating fingerprint scanner into a keyboard button, namely the Windows button. The basics of the method are being shown in a picture added to the document. It is unknown if this method will ever reach personal computers; the rumour says it is being designed with Surface laptops in mind.
