Xiaomi Mi 9 may come out in February

Xiaomi Mi 9, a flagship smartphone currently developed by the Chinese, might come out soon. Weibo journalists have somehow found out (I do not know how, so take it with a pinch of salt) that the device may be released on February 19th. That would make sense, as it would allow Xiaomi to beat Samsung and its Galaxy S10 to the punch, even if only by a day. We shall see. Tweet Vote on HN ...

”Keeping Summer Safe” by Tesla

Elon Musk is known for, every now and then, coming up with something crazy. Sometimes it is a small thing, like Boring Company’s ”flamethrower”, other times it is something as huge as sending a ship into space. This time it is, I suppose, something in-between: middle level of crazyness, you could say. Sentry Mode is an upcoming feature for Tesla cars. Its purpose is twofold: first of all, it adds a 360 degrees camera to the phone, meaning that no violation against your electrical vehicle will go unnoticed; second is to loudly play the famous Toccata in D Minor by Bach in ...

Test version of new Windows 10 released. Many fixes, not a lot changes

Participats of the Windows Insider program have just received their test version of the new Windows 10 19H1 update. Most of the changes included within it are smaller or greater fixes of existing issues; the pretty much only new addition is that of adding RAW files support for Windows Explorer. Judging by the opinions online, most people prefer this minimalistic approach: Windows is already a robust and advanced operating system, and what it needs now is more polish. Tweet Vote on ...

Redmi Note 7 is a decent chopping board

Redmi Note 7 is supposedly selling well, but it could always sell better. As everyone knows, nothing bumps up the sales as much as some good media coverage (well, nothing except delivering a quality product or selling it for competitive prices). Therefore, the only natural conclusion was for Xiaomi to publish a video where the company’s CEO, Lu Weibing, uses their smartphone as a cutting board. Yeah… The arguably entertaining video can be watched here.Redmi Note 7’s specification is as follows:– 6,3′ display Full HD+,– 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon ...

Energizer is preparing a phone with a LARGE battery

Energizer seemingly wants to take a smartphone market by storm. The company plans to show us 26 different smartphone models during the MWC 2019, and while we will probably forget most of them the day they come out, a few of these models have a shot at being more memorable. One of them is one of the Power Max series (there will be four series, Energy, Hardcase, Ultimate and Power Max), which is supposed to come out with an 18000mAh battery. Other interesting models include a foldable one and retractable camera ...

Google Coral? What is that

Well, it is a new smartphone made by Google (duh). We do not have the slightest idea as to when and where will it be lauched and how much will it cost but, thanks to the work of mysmartprice, we know a little bit about its specifications:– Snapdragon 855 CPU, 8 cores,– 6 GB RAM,– Android Q operating system.Device’s low benchmark score is possibly caused by badly optimized, still yet to be released Android Q OS. As for the device itself, some speculate that it may be Google Pixel ...

Vivo Apex 2019, another smartphone with no buttons and joints

It was just yesterday that I wrote about Meizu Zero, world’s first smartphone lacking both any buttons and connectors, and today I get to tell you about another one just like that. Apex 2019 by Vivo is a concept smartphone with the same main feature as Zero; it will have no buttons, with user’s interface being limited to touchscreen and touch frame, and no connectors. Like Zero it will be charged wirelessly, but it will also have the option of charging via a magnetic interface. Unlike Zero it will lack a pretty important feature these days, namely the selfie shooter camera. ...
