We already know quite a bit about the Sony Xperia XZ1 – I even wrote about that phone yesterday. Today it is time to learn more about the lil’ brother of that phone, Xperia XZ1 Compact. The picture above is not an official graphic released by Sony, but a third-party render. It’s supposed accuracy comes from the fact that it was supposedly based on technical drawing of the device – if true, then it is accurate indeed. The render shows us that Compact is in fact smaller than the full XZ1, although it is also a bit thicker. An NFC module appears at the back of the phone, ...

New leaked images of Sony Xperia XZ1
Sony Xperia XZ1 is supposed to make its first official appearance on August 31st, on Sony’s IFA conference in Berlin. As is always the case with popular smartphones, closeness of the official reveal by no means stops anyone from digging for and revealing any bit of information offered about the device. Today’s bit is a bunch of pictures, said to be official press images of the XZ1. What do these images tell us about the phone? Not a lot, at least not a lot we did not already know. The device will be available in at least two different colour variants, namely pink and black. It ...

New Sony mobile device, listed as Sony G8441 has just been listed on Geekbench. This is not the first time this phone this device was listed on benchmarks, as it was already listed on AnTuTu a couple weeks ago. Geekbench benchmark added more info to the already known specification. As it is now, Sony G8441 (which may or may not turn out to be Xperia Z1 Compact) will look like this:– 5.2′ display, 720p or FHD resolution,– Snapdragon 835 CPU,– 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM,– 8mpx/8mpx camera setup,– 2800mAh battery.Rumours from even earlier, from May, paint G8441 in an ...
Sony Xperia Z5 faces serious performance issues after the Android 7.1.1 update
Latest Xperia devices have been receiving Android 7.1.1 updates ever since the end of June, and for a while, everything was good. Now, though, it looks like the update is plagued by a number of issues that may destabilize performance of any updated Xperia Z5 smartphone. According to the word online, these issues include drastic drop in apps response speed, device crashing, rebooting out of blue and even increasing its temperature to unusually high levels.Sony has yet to release statement on the matter. One possible – though unofficial – solution to the problem is disabling the ...
Sony Xperia XZ1 spotted on Geekbench
Device with a model number G8341, which most believe to be Sony Xperia XZ1, has hit the Internet again, this time via Geekbench. It confirms what we already knew about the phone, namely the 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 835 CPU. We are still not sure whether the phone’s OS will be Android 7.1 or, as was rumoured before, Android O. If other sources of info are to be believed, G8341 will sport 5.2′ screen that displays 1080p resolution and a price tag of $860. Tweet Vote on ...

If you are the owner of XZ Premium or Premium Dual and notice something important changed after downloading it, let us know. Tweet Vote on HN ...

Sony Xperia G8441 – new Xperia phone on AnTuTu benchmark
And it looks good. These are the specification of this earlier unannounced Xperia smartphone:– 1280 x 720 screen resolution (okay, that isn’t all that great),– Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU (neat),– Adreno 540 GPU,– 8mpx front and rear cameras,– 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM,– Android 8.0 (woo!).It seems to be a mixed, if overall cool, bag. Low max screen and camera resolution does not make me feel optimistic, but sharp CPU, large memory and newest Android OS do. According to some, small screen size is caused by the fact that (reportedly) the device is actually a ...
Sony Xperia XA1 will arrive in Canada on July 5th. Why the delay?
Originally, Xperia XA1 was to debut in Canada yesterday, June 22. Cause of delay is, at least officially, no biggie – Sony reportedly has some problems with shipping the device abroad. If there is some interesting story behind it, perhaps something about a government corruption and Reptilians infiltrating human society, we know nothing about it.Hopefully the delay will not damage Xperia XA1’s sells, at least not too badly. Once it arrives to the land of snow and hockey, phone will be available to buy from Videotron and Freedom Mobile. Here is the phone’s specification, in ...
