How BlackBerry protects US and Canadian governments

After a few years of apathy, BlackBerry seems to be doing better. First, BB released a quite successful KEYone smartphone. This in turn helped the company turn out strong earnings in its first fiscal quarter. Now sun shines over BlackBerry once more, as governments of United States of America and Canada have turned to it for cybersecurity. SecuSUITE for Government is a multi-platform solution created to offer end-to-end encryption for text and voice calls. This feature, now a part of BlackBerry Secure, has been rented by the above countries’ governments to protect their cyber assets. ...

A number of Rogers branded phones will be getting updates tomorrow

Among them are Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Moto G4 Plus and, perhaps most importantly, BlackBerry KEYone. Most of these devices’ updates will focus on security, but BB KEYone’s patch will concentrate on fixing phone’s software issues instead. These issues are, reportedly, somehow related to the Rogers network, with Rogers customers complaining about being occasionally unable to make calls and write texts. Sounds like a pretty basic, and large, issue which needs to be fixed A.S.A.P.We do not know which world regions will receive the update first, nor how large or small it will ...

BlackBerry KEYone with improved screen adhesive are now available for sale

Roughly a month ago I wrote about how BlackBerry KEYone’s release has gone through a bit of a foul due to the phone’s screen’s painful lack of adhesive, which caused the device to break extremely easily. BlackBerry promised to find a better adhesive and to deliver so improved units to stores. Company kept its promise and fixed smartphones are now available for sale in both retail and carriers. Yaay.If you have already bought yourself a KEYone and it turned out to be lacking adhesive, do not worry! Your device should still be under warranty and can be replaced for a shiny ...

BlackBerry is allegedly working on two new phones

Thanks again, Evan!. This time Evan Blass, our Leakster Extraordinaire, has dug up a juicy rumour that will please all the BlackBerry fans. According to Blass – and he is right more often than not – BB is working on two brand new (okay, brand will be old) smartphones bearing codenames Krypton and Juno. Hopefully these new additions to the BlackBerry roster will wipe off the rather so-so impression that the BlackBerry KeyOne left. Tweet Vote on HN ...

Oh no! BlackBerry KEYone screens pop out due to lack of adhesive

That one’s funny. You know BlackBerry Keyone, right? The most recent BB flagship phone, an overall very good device with a cool QWERTY keyboard and good battery life? Well, as often is the case with flagships, not all that glitters is gold, and KEYone seems to have a pretty rough defect to it. YouTuber, one JerryRigEverything, has posted a video in which he stress-tested the device. KEYone did well in scratch and burn tests, proving to be resilient… that is, until the youtuber tried to bent it. Upon adding a bit of pressure to the phone, its screen popped right out of the body. ...
