Verizon Wireless recently added the LG Extravert to its lineup of prepaid cell phones. The Extravert is a sideways slider with full QWERTY keyboard for messaging and a 2.8-inch WQVGA touch screen (400 x 240 pixels). It runs on LG’s feature phone touch OS and is limited to 1X data. LG Outs Plan to Upgrade Some Smartphones to Android 4.0
LG today indicated via its Facebook page that it will update a handful of its Android smartphones to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The first wave of phones LG is committing to update includes the Optimus 2X, the Optimus Black, the Optimus 3D, and the Optimus LTE. AT&T today announced the LG Nitro HD, a new Android smartphone that supports AT&T’s Long Term Evolution 4G and HSPA+ networks, and includes a 4.5-inch AH-IPS (Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching) display with 1280 x 720 pixels for HD resolution.
