The models in question are iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus and, last but not least, iPhone 8. As for the date of release, it has been revealed by the French website Mac4Ever. Website claims to have contacted the network carriers supposedly aware of the reveal date. The fact that all three phones will be unveiled at the same day is a bit strange, and there is no explanation for it, but on the other hand it is no crime, so why should we care? One can just be glad that Apple has seemingly dealt with its supposed shortage of OLED screens – otherwise it is doubtful the company would be able to ...

Android Oreo will be coming to HTC C10, HTC U11 and U Ultra
HTC is often one of the first tech companies to update their operating systems. So it is this time too; HTC just announced on Twitter that three of its models will soon be receiving an OS update to Android 8.0 Oreo. The lucky phones are HTC C10, HTC U11 and HTC U Ultra. HTC has not shared any more details about the topic, most importantly date of the update, but stated that more news will be coming soon.People smarter than me believe that HTC’s update will take place sometime during the fourth quarter of 2017. Google’s Nexus and Pixel phones are already having Oreo on board. ...
Kaspersky vs. FBI
As perhaps you have already heard, there was a ”small misunderstanding” a few weeks ago between the American government and a Russian antyvirus creators Kaspersky. Kaspersky was accused of leaking information to the Russian intelligence, and the US government readily removed it from its list of trusted software deliverers. Losing a single, very lucrative contract is only part of Kaspersky’s problems now, though. As it turns out, FBI is (allegedly) contacting various private companies, trying to get them to resign from Kaspersky’s services. FBI’s argument is ...

Official Huawei Mate 10 video. Leica dual camera…
… and not much more, honestly. Mate 10’s official video focuses on the device’s camera capabilities. We have not learned all that much about these, too. What we do know for sure is that the phone will possess a dual camera setup, colour 12mpx + monochromatic 20mpx, that will support sharp 2x zoom and chosing the point of softening. Everything listed below is based on leaks and rumours:– 6.1′ display, QHD,– f/1.8 aperture,– 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM, microSD card slot,– Kirin 970 CPU, 8-core,– Mali G71MP12 GPU,– 4000mAh battery. We will ...
Samsung Bixby is out in Australia
Bixby launches in Australia together with Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone. Australia is the second English-speaking country to receive the artificial assistant, with US beating it to the punch by a month. Update is rolled out progressively, so not everyone will receive it at the same time, but it should become available to all Bixby-abled Samsung devices in a matter of few days. Right now Bixby does not have an Australian-specific setting, but it will understand Australian accent, so do not worry. In order to install the feature, simply press the Bixby voice button – app will begin the ...
Custom variant of Nokia 8 may come out in the United States
According to Nokiapoweruser, a Nokia-oriented news website, custom edition of the phone will be available in the U.S (and China, in case anyone cares). The difference between a normal and custom Nokia 8’s is supposedly increased memory of the latter, 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM instead of 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. Nokiapoweruser believes that Nokia assigns a, quote, ”very high priority”, which means that the US release may happen later or maybe the US custom version will be a lesser variant of the Chinese one.Date of release of the phone is unknown, but we may to have wait as long ...
Samsung Bixby launches globally today
Samsung has just released a short teaser (I refuse to link it since it is just seven seconds of the picture above) which confirms the tomorrow global launch of its Bixby voice assistant. The update has already been rolled out in some of the countries world-wide (Germany, Italy, Pakistan, India, Australia, South Africa, United Kingdoms, Malaysia etc.), though its features will not be enabled until later today. This must be a busy week for Samsung. Android Oreo was released yesterday, Bixby gets released today and Galaxy Not 8 flagship is coming out tomorrow. Good for them, I ...
