Do you remember Mother Day’s flower reactions? Last time we had them may as well be the last time we will ever see them. Remember the Pride Month rainbow flag? We did not get it this year, and perhaps we will never get it again. Facebook has officially decided to not implement these and any other event reactions any more. Why? No one knows, as Zuckerberg has not explained himself. On the bright side, we are getting other event stuff instead: new themes, new Messenger AR effects, new avatar frames etc. That is nice, sure… but why did Facebook get rid of the bonus reactions? Let ...

Hooray for Weibo. Samsung Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite are available for pre-orders in China
Starting June 2, the above phones can be pre-ordered in China. Both phones will be officially launched on June 7th (Thursday), and should reach Chinese stores on June 15th. If Galaxy A9 Star was to be quickly summarized, it ought to be described as ”being about the camera”. Phones’ upper-mid specs (4GB RAM, 3700mAh battery, 6.28′ screen et cetera) will only be the tipping of the main course that is the 24mpx + 16mpx main camera. Galaxy A9 Star Lite, on the other hand, will probably be only Galaxy A6 or A6+ rebranded for the Chinese market. ...
Carrot Weather will tell you how are things outside, you a**hole
Carrot Weather, a weather app with a bite, has recently come out on Android OS. What is it? Basically a normal weather app with a touch of dark sense of humour. It will tell you, in a monotonous female voice, that it will rain in a minute and it sucks to be you if you’re caught outdoors, or that it is impressed that you can operate your smartphone despite having such tiny fat fingers; it will hope that you get a stroke on a hot day and wish goodnight to you and the guy that waits for you to fall asleep so that he can kill you at night. Function-wise, it is a bog standard weather app; ...
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) users, perhaps wait a bit with updating to Oreo
Many of you are eager to update your smartphone’s operating systems as soon as possible, but this may be the right time to reconsider. Android 8.0 Oreo on Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) has been reported to cause numerous reboots and bootloops for some – mind you, not all – users. Reboots are reportedly occuring when connecting to some Wi-Fi networks; bootloops are seemingly random. If your device gets into a bootloop, all that you can do is take it to a support center, where it will be recovered through data-wiping recovery. Ouch.ETA of the fix is currently unknown. Install the ...

We do not know when will the update become available, but we know one thing, namely that the update will include the June 2018 security update. Perhaps in a month? Tweet Vote on HN ...

Samsung Galaxy A9 Star will be available in white
A bit of a footnote to the post from an hour ago; an image has been released that shows Galaxy A9 Star available in at least two colours, black and white. That is all. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star and the markets it may be launched in
Galaxy A9 Star is an upcoming Samsung flagship starring (get it? Starring? Star? Ha haa…) an iPhone-esque design, 24mpx + 16mpx rear camera setup, Super AMOLED Infinity display and 3700mAh battery. At first it was believed that Galaxy A9 Star will be limited to a Chinese release, but now it seems otherwise. A list of countries has been obtained by Sammobile that shows a number of countries where the device -may- be released. These countries include Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Cambodia. It is unknown whether or not any new regions will join that ...
Another Samsung Galaxy Note 9 leak
Rumours about Galaxy Note 9 keep making rounds on the Internet block; we ourselves have shared the phone’s latest benchmark just yesterday. Well, another piece of news has just joined the fray. According to the tipser Ice Universe, Galaxy Note 9 will come with 8GB RAM and 512GB ROM. If true, that would be a huge step forward from the 4GB RAM and 64/128/256GB ROM of the Galaxy S9 series. Then again, Geekbench certification says something different. I guess we will only learn the truth after the phone’s ...
