Only in Russia, or how Russian veterinarian helped a cockroach in delivery

Imagine that you are a veterinarian working in Russia. You are spending your day at the office, catching up with paperwork, writing up a treatment for Mrs. XXX’s cat or playing Darkwood (great game), when suddenly you receive a phone call. It turns out to be a person whose pet has trouble delivering a baby and may require surgical assistance. You ask what kind of pet is it, and you hear that it is an archimandrite cockroach.

What do you do? Have a laugh at a decent joke? Tell the client to go eff themself? Stoically take the job? The russian veterinarian chose the third option. Using anasthesia and considerable surgical skills, the doctor managed to help the cockroach deliver, removing a cocoon with its spawn from inside it. Whole operation was a success, with the cockroach, its young and its owner all returning home to live happily ever after.

Congratulations?
