Did you even know that a new Doom movie is in the works? I have not. Turns out that it is: the flick’s director is one Tony Giglio, with Louise Mandylor and Amy Manson in main roles. Other than a few names and a bunch of pictures from the studio, we do not have any information about the movie other than that it will come out this year. According to latest news, though, it will come out later this year than expected, and the reason for that delay is not half bad: it is said that the creators of the flick want to put more work into scenes taking place in hell. Seeing how the fiery pits were an important location in the video game series the movie is based on, this is actually good news, as it gives us hope that the movie makers ”get” Doom and want to make it look as good as possible.

The movie will come out when it comes out, I guess. All we can do is hope for the best, or that it will be at least better than the 2005 version.
